What we do

We review home goods, kitchen gear, and everyday tech the slow way: we buy products at retail, use them for weeks in real homes, measure what can be measured, and report what broke. Our scores can't be purchased, our review units mostly aren't loaners, and when a product disappoints us, we say so in the headline.

How we test

Every review states its methodology — how long we tested, what we measured, and what we couldn't. We log our data, we name our caveats, and when our sample size is two staffers and a sleep tracker, we tell you it's two staffers and a sleep tracker. We'd rather publish an honest anecdote than a dressed-up one.

How we make money

Some links on this site earn affiliate commissions when you buy through them. That revenue never touches our editorial process: writers don't see affiliate performance, scores are locked before links are added, and we routinely recommend products that earn us nothing. If we ever accept a manufacturer-provided unit, the review discloses it.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we fix the article and note the change at the bottom. If you spot an error, tell us — being correctable is most of being credible.
